What exactly is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is healthcare simplified. Instead of dealing with insurance for every visit, you pay a monthly membership fee that covers your primary care services. This model allows us to spend more time with you, offer flexible appointments, and provide direct access to your doctor - all in a calm, unhurried environment.

Does Dr. Pham take weekend appointments?

Dr. Pham does not currently see patients in person on the weekend. We will accomodate virtual exam on Saturday morning as needed. But Dr Pham will do his best to answer your question as soon as possible even on weekend. If there is an emergency, please call 911. For non-urgent matters, please message or email us for either question or a virtual visit. We will schedule an in-person appointment for the following business day.

He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, and he is a member of the North American Menopause Society.

Dr. Pham’s passion for medicine spans a broad range of specialties, and he continues to expand his expertise into functional, integrative, and anti-aging medicine. His approach focuses on preventing and reversing disease through personalized, whole-person care—not just treating symptoms. This unique blend of experience and philosophy allows him to create customized plans that empower patients to achieve lasting health and well-being.

Is this Concierge Medicine?

DPC and Concierge medicine share overlapped concept, but they are fundamentally different. Concierge medicine will charge a retainer on top of your insurance for access fee, then the clinic still bills your insurance for visits and services. In contrast, DPC membership will cover unlimited access, easy access, transparent pricing, no insurance billing.

Do you take insurance?

No. But you can use your insurance for referrals, labs, medication and imaging.

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes. While we provide comprehensive primary care, we recommend maintaining health insurance for emergencies, hospitalizations, and specialist care outside our scope.

How do I join TRUFamilyMD?

What if I need to cancel my membership?

We require a 30-day written notice for cancellation. If you decide to rejoin later, you'll need to pay the enrollment fee again, subject to practice availability.

Do you accept children as patients?

Dr. Pham is board-certified in Internal Medicine, so he currently provides Primary Care services for patients aged 18 and older.

However, as we continue to expand our practice, we plan to add a Family Physician to accommodate younger patients. In the meantime, feel free to join our waiting list, and we will notify you once we are able to offer services for children.
